Coffee planters in Kintamani are facing a capital problem that is preventing them from expanding their operation, despite the coffee’s potential as an export commodity. I Ketut Jati, head of the coffee farmers’ group, said in a discussion with Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika that there was untapped potential in this commodity that the farmers were not able to develop due to funding problems. more…

The Shanti Residences and Resorts for their first anniversary of operations are pleased to sponsor an art award / competition in conjunction with the SMKN I Sukawati to help in the development, promotion and growth of art amongst young aspiring Balinese artists. 25 work of arts amongst young aspiring Balinese art from a total of figure and non figure to further encourage the younger artists. The judge for the competition is Pak Popo Danes, who apart from being Bali’s internationally known architect is also involved in the Balinese arts scene with his involvement of founder of Danes Art Verandah in Denpasar. This event would be held regularly under the sponsorship of The Shanti Residence and Resorts.
